Confidentiality and Data Protection Agreement for Client Information

All client information collected by Vanilla Salon, including contact details, service history, and payment methods, is private and protected by law. We have a legal obligation to safeguard this information and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of privacy and security. If any individual unlawfully removes or misuses this information without our knowledge, we are legally obligated to inform affected clients of the breach and take appropriate action to address the compromise.

By agreeing to this Confidentiality and Data Protection Agreement, you acknowledge and accept the following terms:

Ownership and Scope of Client Information

All client information, including personal details, contact information, payment methods, service history, and other data (“Client Information”), is the exclusive property of Vanilla Salon. This information is provided solely for use in connection with Vanilla Salon’s services and is protected under privacy laws.

Confidentiality Obligations

Access to Client Information is strictly limited to authorized purposes related to providing services at Vanilla Salon. Any employee, contractor, or stylist (“Personnel”) granted access to this information is prohibited from using or disclosing it outside these authorized purposes. Unauthorized use or sharing of Client Information is strictly forbidden and may result in disciplinary action and legal consequences.

Prohibition on Removal and Use of Information

It is illegal and a violation of this Agreement to take, retain, or use any Client Information for personal use, transfer to another establishment, or for marketing purposes outside of Vanilla Salon. Personnel are prohibited from copying, retaining, or using any Client Information upon departure from Vanilla Salon. Any attempt to use or market to Vanilla Salon clients with stolen information may result in legal action.

Compliance with Privacy Laws

Vanilla Salon and its Personnel are obligated to comply with all applicable data privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the Privacy Act. Unauthorized access, retention, or misuse of Client Information violates these laws and can result in significant legal consequences, including civil penalties.

Legal Consequences of Violation

Unauthorized access to or disclosure of Client Information is grounds for immediate termination of employment or contract with Vanilla Salon. Any Personnel found to have removed or misused Client Information without consent may face legal action and may be held liable for damages to Vanilla Salon and its clients. Violations of this Agreement will be pursued to the fullest extent of the law.

By agreeing to this Confidentiality and Data Protection Agreement, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accept all terms outlined above, and agree to uphold these terms throughout your employment or contract with Vanilla Salon.

By signing below, you acknowledge and agree to adhere to the following terms and conditions of this policy. Violations of these terms may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment and termination of any term or non-term contracts.

Vanilla Salon understands that clients have the right to choose where they go to get their hair done. We believe it is each stylist’s responsibility to maintain their own connections with clients they have personally built relationships with. Vanilla Salon has no intention of withholding information from clients who wish to know where a stylist is working. We are always open to supporting clients’ choices and will gladly forward relevant information, provided that the stylist gives proper notice and leaves Vanilla Salon with integrity.
