Progressive Discipline Policy

Vanilla Salon is committed to giving employees, term and non-term rental contractors an opportunity to correct behavior that does not meet our professional standards. In most cases of misconduct or policy violations, the following Progressive Discipline steps will be used:

  1. Verbal Warning:

The employee/contractor will receive a verbal warning outlining the nature of the policy violation or behavior concern. This conversation will serve as an opportunity for the employee/contractor to understand the issue and make necessary improvements.

2. Written Warning:

If the behavior or violation continues after the verbal warning, a formal written warning will be issued. The employee/contractor will be required to acknowledge the written warning in writing, and the warning will be placed in their employee file.

3. Final Written Warning or Suspension:

If further violations occur after the written warning, the employee/contractor may receive a final written warning or be suspended from employment or using the salon space for a designated period. This step serves as a clear indication that termination may occur if the behavior is not corrected immediately.

4. Termination of Employment, Term, or Non-Term Rental Contractor

If the employee/contractor fails to improve after the final warning or suspension, any agreement, term or non-term rental contract agreement with Vanilla Salon may be terminated.
